Twitter – What is it good for!

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

My friend ask me “What the Hell is Twitter? Who would use it and why the Hell would you care?” Instead of explaining to him how Twitter allows me to work smarter instead of harder and instead of explaining how it has help me and my business, I decided to post this video from the “How Cast”which can be found on You Tube. Lastly, listen dude, if it’s good for President Obama then it’s good enough for me; dumb ass. Now watch the video below and follow me on Twitter.

Pop Culture Alphabet

Monday, June 8th, 2009

I’ve been toying with a project. My little one is learning her A B C’s and from her at home learning, stemmed the idea of photographing things that began with a certain letter. Like Pop Art, these products have come to my home and have become a part of my environment and my language. The word Band-Aid is used many times here as we kiss, clean and nurse many Boo Boo’s away. Here is the first installment of “My Alphabet”.

Today I was bitching about stupid people. This little one reminded me that sometimes you got to kick them before they kick you.

After being unemployed for a few months I finally got myself a full time gig. However, now I feel guilty that I don’t get enough time with my first love; photography. I shoot not just to make a living, the fact is that financial compensation is just a by product; I photograph because it’s sexy. To see the colors of the summer sky dance and highlight the hair of a subject is sexy. To see her blush or see him cry when he sees his bride for the first time is sexy. I live for these moments and they still my breath away. The task of acclimating and motivating myself to like my 9-5 is harder than making love with someone with bad breath. The goal is to hold my breath, release, shower and move on.
